Medisoft Software System Requirements

Medisoft’s performance will largely depend upon the system it is installed on. You can avoid frustrations at the time of install and when using the program by verifying that the hardware you are going to be using is compatible with the program. Recommended System Requirements: This is what we suggest if you don't like waiting on your computer and to you time means money.

Workstation System Requirements: (For Medisoft Patient Accounting, Medisoft Advanced, or Network Professional Clients)

  • Equivalent to Pentium IV 3.0Ghz processor or higher
  • 1GB of available hard disk space
  • 1GB of RAM or higher
  • 16+ color display
  • Windows XP Professional, or Windows Vista Business Edition (Home Editions of XP and Vista are not supported)

Server System Requirements: (For Medisoft Network Professional)

  • Equivalent to Pentium IV 3.0Ghz processor or higher
  • 2GB if available hard disk space
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 16+ color display
  • Windows Server 2003 Standard or Enterprise Edition, Windows Server 2008 Standard or Enterprise Edition (Small Business Edition is not supported)

Server Requirements: (For Medisoft Clinical EMR)

  • Equivalent to dual core 2.0Ghz processor or higher or Quad core 1.8Ghz or higher
  • 4GB RAM
  • Raid 1- 72GB OS partition
  • Raid 10- 146GB Data partition
  • DVD drive
  • Windows 2003 Server Standard or Enterprise (Small Business Edition is not supported)

Network Requirements:

  • Gigabit full-duplex 10/100/1000 Ethernet router/switch using CAT5e (or CAT6) Ethernet Cable. Wireless networks are not recommended for Medisoft. If a wireless network is the only option we suggest running the program through terminal services on an 802.11N wireless network.

Minimum System Requirements: For those that don't mind waiting and actually like the extra time they have to think while they wait on their computer...

(Please note that if you barely meet the minimum requirements, Medisoft performance could be affected and you may experience lag in the program.)
